Desktop client

Create a first-class desktop client. All the xmpp clients I've tried have had major limitations such as not showing images inline, sending me notifications for ALL rooms no matter if I'm in them or not, etc. A client that has feature parity with the web client would be great (like Hipchat's which is basically a web browser++)

fix the scrolling when switching rooms

When you switch between rooms, there is a big scroll happening that seems unnecessary and is disruptive.

Individual chat ("room" with only one other user)

Other group chat programs let you double-click a user and open a room to chat with just them. Adding this to Jaconda would mean I don't have to run Jaconda AND a second chat app to speak individually with a coworker.

Proper mobile web browser version

The current version does not work all that well in mobile browser on iPhone or Anroid. A proper mobile web version of the client should be made.

allow configuring different sounds for chat messages and other updates

i'd like to be able to configure different sounds for different types of updates, most notably chat, since it is the most time-sensitive to me

Handling of pasted text/code.

The chat is cluttered if you paste a long code snippet or text. It would be nice to have some "collapse" or "view paste" functionality on this.
